ICARUS Croatia organized its 10th conference/ICARUS Croatia Days in Opatija, between 26 and 28 March 2025. It was an opportunity for a number of ICARUS network members and cultural heritage professionals from Croatia and European countries to gather and present their current work under the main topic “Networks and Routes of Cultural Heritage“. It was not by chance that Opatija on the Adriatic coast was chosen for the 10th meeting, as it is a place rich in cultural heritage and tourist tradition since mid-XIX century, which today is institutionalized through the Croatian Museum of Tourism settled in the oldest villa in Opatija.
This was also an opportunity that E-ROUTES team present recent and current work within the framework of the project. Maja Lesinger from the Prelog Library and Reading Room presented on the final conference day her work about the Drava river, Prelog and Medjimurje in Croatia as a cultural heritage route with its own specifics, very much determined by the river itself. Particular attention was on the “Filigree of the Drava” exhibition by Kristina Pongrac, which was opened as a part of the E-ROUTES project in the Library and Reading Room of the City of Prelog in October 2024. Maja’s presentation was held as a part of the session “Traveling and Migration Paths”, moderated by Bogdan Trifunović, E-ROUTES project coordinator.
