During the 89th International Federation of Libraries and Library Associations (IFLA) World Library and Information Congress (WLIC), which was organized in Astana, Kazakhstan between 18 and 22 August 2025, the E-ROUTES project results were presented at the poster sessions.

Our team member and project coordinator, Bogdan Trifunović, participated at the WLIC poster session, with a poster entitled “Connecting European Cultural Heritage Through Digital Storytelling”, which emphasized the most important aspects of the E-ROUTES project, including project objectives, results, partners and affiliated partners. It was an excellent opportunity to discuss the project at the most important gathering of library and information specialists from all over the world, showcasing the framework built to connect scattered cultural heritage with the cultural tourism.

During the two-day poster session, on 19 and 20 August 2025, Bogdan Trifunović and Jelena Glišović, project’s manager for administration and communication and the Serbian Library Association president, spoke with dozens of colleagues from numerous countries, about the project’s innovative aspects and its results, including the dedicated web application. It was also an opportunity to disseminate information about the project in a professional environment, as well as to discuss potential opportunities for the sustainability of the project within the cultural tourism focused sectors. Provided feedback by colleagues and suggestions for the future of E-ROUTES project were encouraging voices for our team members present in Astana. We are grateful to all colleagues who visited the poster and spoke about the project with us!
